Peter Avilés, Autor Puertorriqueño
Peter Avilés origina de Rincón, Puerto Rico, donde su familia ha tenido residencia desde los tiempos coloniales de España. Sus familia se ha destacado por sus contribuciones al desarrollo de su pueblo por más de ochenta años.
Su libro anterior, “Memorias De Un Patriota”, traza la historia de padre y su lucha personal y política. Aunque Peter no compartió todas las creencias de su padre, completó la obra escrita por su valor histórico.
Como creador y editor de la primera página de internet sobre Rincón, Peter abrió una ventana virtual al mundo, mostrando imágenes y descripciones de que fomentó el turismo moderno en Rincón.
Además de ser autor de dos libros, artículos de prensa y revistas, Peter es fotógrafo de paisajes, videos áereos y también cineasta de cortometrajes, ganando premio especial en un Festival Internacional de Películas.
Peter también es el organizador de eventos culturales y festivos, como la celebración del 50 aniversario del surf internacional en Puerto Rico y el Salón de la Fama del Surf Internacional de Puerto Rico, que han sido grandes éxitos deportivos y económicos para el turismo en Puerto Rico.
Por sus logros y contribuciones al progreso de su pueblo, Peter ha sido proclamado como Ciudadano Distinguido de Rincón por el Alcade de Rincón.

Peter Aviles originates from Rincón, Puerto Rico, where his family has resided since Spanish colonial times. His family has been noted for its many contributions to the development of their town for more than eighty years.
His previous book, "Memoirs Of A Patriot”, traces the story of his father and his personal and political struggle. Although Peter did not share all of his father's beliefs, he completed the written work for its historical value.
As the creator and editor of the first website about Rincón, Peter opened a virtual window to the world, showing images and descriptions of what helped create modern tourism in Rincón.
In addition to being the author of two books, newspaper articles, and magazines, Peter is a landscape and aerial photographer and creator of short films, including one that received a special award at a International Film Festival.
Peter is also the organizer of cultural and festival events, such as the celebration of the 50th anniversary of international surfing in Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico International Surfing Hall of Fame, which have been great sporting and economic successes for tourism in Puerto Rico.
For his achievements and contributions to the advancement of his town, Peter has been proclaimed a Distinguished Citizen of Rincón by the Mayor of Rincón.
